LOVE & LEMON
Privacy Policy
Your choices and the information used by this website
Scope of this notice
Last updated: 6 October 2026. This notice describes the current Love & Lemon website at loveandlemon.co.uk and the contact route loveandlemons@gmail.com. It explains the website's existing features and distinguishes them from services that have not been connected. You can read recipes without registering, creating a profile, or entering an email address. The site does not currently provide an account area, comments, purchases, or a server-based contact form. This notice is not a claim about every future version of the website. If new services are introduced, their actual information practices need to be described before readers are asked to use them.
Information needed for ordinary browsing
The website's own pages do not ask for your name, home address, payment information, or identity documents in order to display a recipe. There is no personal profile or saved recipe account. However, delivering a webpage normally involves requests to a hosting service. That service may receive technical information such as an IP address, request time, requested page, and browser details. The current hosting configuration and its exact logging practices have not been confirmed in this notice. This is why a statement that the website's pages contain no analytics should not be read as a guarantee that no technical information reaches the host.
The email field on the homepage
If you enter an address in the recipe-update box, the page uses that address to prepare an email request in your own email application. The website does not place it in a subscription database, save it in browser storage, or forward it to an automated newsletter service. Opening a prepared message is separate from sending it. You decide whether to send, edit, or cancel that message. There is no confirmed mailing-list subscription simply because the button was used. If a real mailing service is added later, this notice and the sign-up wording need to explain that new process clearly.
Emails you choose to send
When you send an email, your email address, message content, and any attachments are handled by the email services involved and can be received through the contact mailbox. A recipe question may identify a page and describe what happened during cooking. A privacy or rights enquiry may contain other relevant details that you choose to provide. Share only what is necessary for your request. The website's pages cannot control your email provider's independent security, storage, or account settings. Do not include sensitive documents, passwords, or financial details in an ordinary recipe enquiry, and remove unrelated personal information from screenshots before attaching them.
Purposes of correspondence
The purpose of the contact route is to receive website enquiries, understand recipe feedback, consider corrections, and respond where appropriate. Privacy questions and image-rights enquiries can also be directed there. There is no current function that turns a recipe question into an automatic marketing subscription. Sending an email does not, by itself, create consent to a new mailing programme. Any additional use of correspondence would need to be explained against the actual service and circumstances. The operator's legal identity and processing arrangements still require confirmation; this notice does not invent a company name, a data-protection officer, or a legal basis that has not been established.
Cookies and information stored on your device
The delivered website code does not set advertising cookies, create a tracking identifier, or store a reader profile in local storage. It contains no connected analytics platform or personalised recommendation system. Your browser may cache ordinary files so that images and pages load more efficiently, and its own history or settings are managed by the browser. Hosting services or later additions can introduce different behaviour, so the live site's actual setup matters. The absence of cookie-setting code in these pages is a description of this version, not permission to add tracking without updating the information readers receive.
Advertising, analytics, and outside services
Advertisement areas are reserved spaces and do not currently contain ad-network scripts or publisher identifiers. The pages do not load social-media embeds, remote fonts, or an external comment service. There is no current analytics report of individual readers' behaviour generated by the site code. If advertising, audience measurement, mailing tools, or embedded content are introduced, the privacy notice must identify their role and explain the information involved. Those changes may also require choices or consent arrangements depending on the applicable rules. A space labelled for advertising should not be mistaken for an active connection to an advertising provider.
Service providers and international handling
Hosting and email services can process information as part of delivering pages and handling messages. The relevant providers, processing locations, and any international transfer arrangements depend on the operator's actual accounts and settings. Those details have not been supplied here, so no specific country, processor contract, or transfer safeguard is asserted. It would be misleading to describe an unconfirmed arrangement as already verified. Before introducing additional data services, the operator needs to identify who receives information and what protections apply. Readers can use the contact address to ask about the live setup, while recognising that this notice does not yet name every provider involved.
Retention and deletion
This website does not maintain a recipe-update subscription record or personal account database. Messages that are actually sent can remain in the contact mailbox, and technical logs can remain with the hosting provider. Their retention depends on the established purpose, applicable obligations, and service settings. No fixed number of days or years is promised because those settings have not been confirmed. If you ask about an earlier email, identify the approximate date and subject to help locate it. Deleting a message from your own sent folder does not necessarily delete copies held by the recipient or the services that handled it.
Choices and privacy requests
You can browse without using the email field and can cancel an email request before sending it. For information already sent to the contact mailbox, you can ask what is held, request a correction, or raise a deletion or use-related concern. Which rights apply, and how they are handled, depend on the actual processing and applicable law. Not every right applies in exactly the same way to every record. Start with a clear description of the request rather than sending identification documents unsolicited. You may also raise a concern with the relevant data-protection authority; for UK data-protection matters, that authority is the Information Commissioner's Office.
Security and sensitive information
The site's pages do not request payment credentials, passwords, or medical records. Keep your browser and email account protected through the settings offered by their providers. If you send a screenshot, check whether it exposes an account name, notification, open tab, or another person's details. No website or email channel can promise absolute security in every circumstance. The protection of live hosting and mailbox accounts depends on the operator's real configuration, which is outside the information available in this notice. The safest ordinary recipe enquiry is a focused message containing the page title and relevant cooking or display details, without unnecessary sensitive information.
Children and other people's information
Reading a recipe does not require a child or adult to submit personal details. Children should involve an appropriate adult before sending emails or using services that ask for information. This website does not currently offer age profiles, a children's account programme, or a forum. Please do not send another person's private information simply because it appeared in a photograph or conversation connected to cooking. If your enquiry involves a shared image, provide only the part needed to explain the issue. A request about someone else's information may need clarification, but this notice does not impose an automatic demand for identity documents on every correspondent.
Changes and outstanding operator details
The notice should be reviewed when the website's services change. In particular, a mailing provider, analytics tool, advertising network, payment facility, or account system would introduce practices not described as current here. The operator also needs to confirm its legal identity, relevant purposes and lawful bases, actual recipients, retention arrangements, and any international handling before treating this as a complete notice for a live service. Readers should not interpret missing details as confirmed compliance. The date above identifies this version. For questions about the described features or a privacy concern, contact loveandlemons@gmail.com and explain which part of the website or correspondence your enquiry concerns.
